Keira Knightley se narodila 22. 3. 1985 v Teddingtonu ve Velké Británii. Herecké předpoklady měla už od dětství a již ve 3 letech si řekla o agenta. Ten jí v 7 letech zařídil první setkání s kamerou v televizním filmu ROYAL CELEBRATION. Podle nařízení rodičů však směla hrát pouze v době, kdy se jí to nepletlo se školou, aby ji neflákala. Kdyby si zhoršila známky, nesměla by hrát. Ale i tak Keira získávala další praxi v televizi.
Největší úspěch pro Keiru připravil letní trhák PIRÁTI Z KARIBIKU: PROKLETÍ
ČERNÉ PERLY. Keira zde byla obklopena filmovými lamači srdcí třech generací-Geoffrey Rush, Johnny Depp a Orlando Bloom. Práci s nimi si nemohla vynachválit. A právě díky tomuto filmu si Keira našla miliony fanoušků po celém světě
I když je ještě víceméně teenager, tak má za sebou několik opravdu kasovních úspěchů. Ale i přesto žije doma s rodiči a bratrem Calebem a prozatím si neosvojila hvězdné manýry některých jejích hereckých kolegů. Můžeme jenom doufat, že jí to vydrží.
